About Nepal Film Producers Association

The Nepal Film Producers’ Association (NFPA) is a distinguished and leading non-profit professional organization established to safeguard the rights, interests, and professional advancement of film producers in Nepal. Founded in 1998 A.D. (2055 B.S.), the Association was created with the vision of preserving, promoting, and celebrating Nepal’s world-renowned geographical beauty, natural splendor, and rich cultural diversity through the powerful medium of cinema, while giving Nepali films a unique and respected identity among Nepali audiences and across the world. The Association is officially recognized by the Government of Nepal under registration number 055/56/336.

Since its establishment, the Nepal Film Producers’ Association has remained steadfast in protecting the authentic rights and interests of Nepali film producers. The Association has played a vital role in strengthening Nepal’s film industry by encouraging the production of high-quality films, fostering cinematic culture, and contributing to the professional and sustainable growth of the industry. It also serves as a common platform where producers can exchange ideas, share experiences, collaborate creatively, and collectively address the challenges faced by the film sector.

The Association actively represents Nepali film producers in national trade and industry forums, including the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), ensuring that the voice of Nepal’s film industry is heard with strength and dignity. With a continued commitment to expanding Nepali cinema onto the international stage, encouraging emerging creators and producers, and establishing Nepali films within the global market, NFPA continues to work tirelessly toward the advancement of the nation’s cinematic future.

Today, with more than 1,000 members, the Nepal Film Producers’ Association stands proudly as a trusted, influential, and prestigious institution dedicated to the growth, recognition, and prosperity of the Nepali film industry.
